Everyone is talking about 3G! so what is is?

The 3G network is Telstra’s newest generation of network coverage. The technology has been brought in to replace the existing CDMA network.  There is no need for existing CDMA customers to be concerned about the change, CDMA will continue to be fully operational until 2008.

With the introduction of this new network, not only will you be receiving much greater coverage at home and abroad, you will also have a host of superb new features to look forward to. 3G delivers video versions of existing voice characteristics including video calling (the person you’re calling will also need a 3G mobile), video messaging and last but not least video message bank.
