IP (Internet protocol)
IP is the communication protocol used throughout the Internet for directing data. For data to be sent over an IP network it needs to have an IP address. It’s IP address ensures that the data is sent to the correct location. Every computer has an IP address if it is connected to the internet, as do many mobile phones and mobile data devices.
