MERCURY CASE STUDY: ARCHERTEC INTERIORS
When Archertec interiors came to Mercury Telephones, they were about to move to a brand new office and wanted to have their phones moved across without a hitch. Archertec's colleagues from Cia Landscapes and Colour as well as Architect Keith Savvas, were moving with them.
When Jason from our sales team sat down with Archertec's Director, Sonja Archer, and her colleagues to talk through the move, he realized that all three businesses had been running with outdated phone systems.
Jason also noticed that their phone bills where relatively large. Jason came up with a cost effective way to upgrade their telephone system and reduce each business phone bill.
The Solution: Jason's suggestion was to pool the resources of the three businesses and purchase a new phone system that could be shared by the three businesses. In doing so they would all be able to enjoy the features of the new phone system, and the cost of the phone could be split between the three separate businesses.
Jason also recommended the phone bill be bundled into a package called "Telstra Business Options Connect". Bundling offered considerable savings for each business, and also made them eligible for a rebate on the purchase of their new telephone system.
The recommended phone system was the NEC XEN Topaz. The key benefit of this system for Archertec and colleagues was that it provided the flexibility to use both analogue and digital devices without the need to purchase extra hardware.
This means that the system can facilitate digital handsets, as well as analogue accessories such as the fax machine or a cordless phone.
A further benefit of the NEC Topaz is that it is compatible with call accounting software. Call accounting systems allow you to track your calls accurately for each hand set, allowing for an accurate breakdown on calls made by each business. This data could then be used to fairly split the cost of the phone bill between the three separate organisations.
Archertec and colleagues followed Jason's recommendations and moved into their new O'Connor premises in early October. The installation of the new system went smoothly, and the upgrade has already paid off with cost benefits for all three businesses.
